Dmitri Hvorostovsky is admired throughout the world as one of the most fascinating singers of our time. Not surprisingly, there is an overwhelming abundance of information about him on the internet. The baritone's official website is commendable but somewhat limited in what it offers; official sites (understandably) do not acknowledge the existence of unofficial resources, however well-intentioned or delightful those resources may be. YouTube is filled with cultural treasures, but there one gets so easily lost and distracted.

The Dmitri Hvorostovsky Virtual Archive aims to present a concise but interesting selection of multimedia files, press articles and links.

Travel back in time to witness Hvorostovsky's glorious victory at the 1989 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition.

Here you will find Hvorostovsky's concerts in LondonQuebec, Mexico and Russia. Enjoy videos of his concerts with Renee Fleming (2006) and Ildar Abdrazakov (2009), as well as Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (1995).

You will not want to miss the TV programmes presented in this archive: English subtitles are provided for Russian programmes. Read interviews and feature articles that have appeared in the press. Check out the opera humor and links sections, and don't forget to sign the guestbook before you leave!
